spray-on tanning

A professional spray tan in our salon's private booth involves the application of a spray containing DHA (Dihydroxyacetone), a sugar molecule, which creates a tanned appearance in the upper layer of skin (epidermis).

A bronzer is applied for an instant tan, but will wash off when you take a shower.

best spray tan tips

1. Plan ahead. Don't forget to exfoliate. Remove dead skin cells before you subject yourself to a tanning session. Make use of a loofah sponge to remove the dead skin.

2. Wear dark clothing. When you come to your appointment, wear loose, dark clothing to avoid having the bronzer rub and leave temporary marks on your clothes. It'll wash out in water, but dark clothing will keep any marks "under cover".

3. Don't be shy. For a more thorough tanning coverage it would be best to go naked since all the parts are tanned. You can wear your bathing suit or your underwear if you like.

4. Please ask questions! There are some simple instructions for using the tanning booths which will help you get the best faux tan results. Because you'll be in the booth alone, make sure you ask all your questions of the staff before you start your session.

5. Wait at least 4-6 hours before showering. The longer you leave it, the darker you may tan. Avoid the rain, and physical activity that might make you sweat.

6. Use moisturiser. Keep your body moisturised over the next seven days. You can't stop the natural cycle of shedding skin cells but you can keep your skin hydrated so that patchiness is reduced as your fake tan fades.
